Overview
The Configuration page is where you control every aspect of how your agent behaves and looks. Changes you make here are reflected on your live agent after you save. The page has two tabs — Configuration and Knowledge Base — and a live chat preview so you can see your changes before visitors do.
Before you start
You need at least one agent created before you can access this page. If you have no agents yet, the page shows an empty state prompting you to complete the setup wizard. Select Launch Your Agent to start that flow.
How to open agent configuration
Open the left sidebar and select Agents to expand the group.
Select Configuration under Agents.
If you have more than one agent, use the agent selector at the top of the page to choose which agent you want to configure.
What you can configure
The Configuration tab contains a collapsible sidebar on the right side of the screen. Each section can be expanded independently. Only one section is open at a time.

What happens next
Changes to Agent Name, Personality Style, Response Style, messages, colors, and fonts take effect on your live agent immediately after saving. Your live chat preview on the left side of the page reflects the current form values as you type.
Troubleshooting
Changes are not saving. Check that you have an agent selected in the agent selector. The Save button is disabled when no agent is selected. If the button is enabled but saving still fails, refresh the page and try again.
The agent on my website does not reflect my updates. Configuration changes are applied server-side after saving. If your embedded widget still shows old content, clear your browser cache or do a hard refresh on the page where the widget is installed. Embedded scripts may be cached by your browser or CDN for a short period.
The Font Style and Colors sections are not saving changes. Refresh the page and try saving again. If the issue persists, check your internet connection.
The embed code dialog shows “Unable to load embed code”. Select Try Again inside the dialog. If the error persists, refresh the page and reopen the dialog.
