Overview

The Dropbox integration links your Dropbox account to RightAsk. Once connected, you can import files into your Assets library from the Integrations page, or pull documents directly into an agent’s knowledge base from the Configuration page.

Before You Start

  • You must have a Dropbox account with access to the files you want to import.

  • You must be signed in to RightAsk.

How to Connect Dropbox

  1. Select Integrations in the left sidebar.

  2. Select the Cloud Storage tab.

  3. Find the Dropbox card under Available Integrations.

  4. Select Connect Dropbox.

  5. You are redirected to Dropbox’s authorization page. Sign in to your Dropbox account if prompted.

  6. Review the permissions Dropbox requests and select Allow to grant RightAsk access.

  7. Dropbox redirects you back to RightAsk. The Dropbox card now shows a Connected badge.

What You Can Do After Connecting

Import files to your Assets library Select Import From Dropbox on the card. The Dropbox file chooser opens. Select one or more files and confirm — RightAsk imports them to your Assets library automatically.

Import documents to an agent’s knowledge base Open the agent’s Configuration page, select the Knowledge Base tab, and use the Dropbox button in the import section. For step-by-step instructions, see Importing Documents from a Cloud Provider.

How to Disconnect Dropbox

  1. Select Integrations in the left sidebar and open the Cloud Storage tab.

  2. On the Dropbox card, select Disconnect.

  3. Confirm the disconnection in the dialog that appears.

Disconnecting removes RightAsk’s access to your Dropbox account. Files already imported are not deleted.

Troubleshooting

The authorization page opens but I am returned to RightAsk without being connected. Make sure your browser is not blocking pop-ups or redirects from RightAsk. Try the connection again. If the problem continues, try a different browser.

The file chooser does not open after connecting. Refresh the Integrations page and select Import From Dropbox again. If the chooser still does not open, disconnect and reconnect your Dropbox account.
