Overview

Mail is RightAsk’s built-in email workspace. It organises your messages into five tabs (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Campaigns, and Settings) so you can handle customer communication without leaving the platform. Drafts your assistant prepares also land here.

How to open Mail

Select Mail in the left sidebar, under Business. Mail opens on the Inbox tab.

Navigating the tabs

Tab

What it shows

Inbox

Messages you have received, grouped into threads

Sent

Messages you have sent

Drafts

Saved but unsent messages, including drafts your assistant prepared

Campaigns

Email campaigns to groups of contacts

Settings

Templates, your sending identity, and your sending domain

Reading and replying

  1. Select a thread in the list to open it.

  2. The reading pane shows the conversation. Where the sender is a known contact, a lead panel beside the message shows what RightAsk knows about them.

  3. Use the reply composer at the bottom of the thread to respond.

Composing a new message

  1. Select Compose at the top of the Mail page.

  2. In To, search your leads by name or type an email address.

  3. Add a Subject and write your Body. Optionally pick a Template to start from.

  4. Select Send Email to send now, or Save Draft to finish later.

To send at a chosen time instead, set a time before sending. The button then reads Schedule Send.

Searching your mail

Use the search field above the thread list to find messages across your mail. Results appear in their own view; clear the search to return to the current tab.

Campaigns

Campaigns send one message to a group of contacts.

  1. Select the Campaigns tab, then New Campaign.

  2. Give it a Campaign name and a Subject, then write the Email body. You can pick Start from template to begin from a saved template.

  3. Choose who receives it.

  4. Save it, or set a time to schedule it.

Select several campaigns in the list to act on them together. Each campaign can also be edited, cancelled, or deleted from its own row.

Your assistant can also prepare a campaign for you. Open Home, select Create a Campaign, and it drafts one as a Campaign card. Approving it saves the campaign here. Its note reads “Saves to Mail. Nothing sends.” You still send it yourself.

Settings

The Settings tab has three sections, reached from the settings sidebar. It opens on Templates.

Templates

Templates are messages you save once and reuse. The section is headed Email Templates; with none saved it reads Save a Message, Use It Everywhere.

  1. Create a template and give it a name and body.

  2. Use it when composing a message instead of retyping.

Sender

Set the name and address your messages are sent from.

Domain

Connect your own sending domain so messages come from your address rather than a RightAsk one. The page lists the DNS records to add and verifies them once they have propagated.

What happens next

Sent messages appear on the Sent tab. Messages you save without sending appear on Drafts. Replies arrive on your Inbox. Campaigns you have sent stay on the Campaigns tab with their results, which also feed the Campaign Performance card in your agent Analytics.

Troubleshooting

Messages are not loading in the Inbox. Mail refreshes on its own while you have it open. If nothing appears, check your internet connection and reload the page.

My sent message did not arrive. Confirm the recipient’s address. Check the Sent tab to confirm it went out. If it is missing there, it is probably still on Drafts.

I cannot send a message. Check the Settings tab. A missing sender identity or an unverified domain prevents sending.

A draft I did not write appeared in Drafts. Your assistant saves drafts here when you approve a follow-up, payment chase, signature chase, or campaign. Nothing is sent until you send it. See How the Assistant’s Approval Cards Work.

My sending domain still shows as unverified. DNS changes can take time to propagate. Confirm the records were added exactly as listed on the Domain page, then re-run verification.
